How to Get Learning and Driving Licence in India (11/02/2020)

 

The appointment process is online. You can do all process by yourself without any agents help. You can Refer Following steps.

Note: For hassle free processing go for Latest Version of Internet Explorer

Documents Required: Address Proof; ID Proof; Date of Birth Proof; Photos etc.

Step 1: Click on https://sarathi.nic.in:8443/nrportal/sarathi/LLDLForm.jsp

Step 2: Choose LL for Learning Licence and DL for Driving Licence

Step 3: Fill above form completely and submit it. (It takes not more than 5 Minutes)

Step 4: Note down Application Number.

Step 5: Go to https://sarathi.nic.in:8443/nrportal/sarathi/form2.jsp and take print of your application. Paste photograph on the application. Sign on the form. Attach all self-attested required documents. For LL: Address Proof, ID Proof etc For DL: Address Proof, ID Proof, LL (Original and Photocopy) etc

Step 6: Get Appointment For LL:  https://sarathi.nic.in:8443/SOWSlotBook/faces/ApplPage.jsp?id=lltest For DL: https://sarathi.nic.in:8443/SOWSlotBook/faces/ApplPage.jsp?id=dltest

Step 7: For LL: Visit your RTO office on appointment date with duly signed printed application form and all required docuemnts (Original and attested photocopies). Verify the same from RTO Inspector. Pay Fees in Counter. Go for Biometric Section. They will capture your fingerprints and photo. Make sure name and other details entered by them on their machine are correct. After Biometric give Online Test.  Pass the exam and get LL. You can apply for DL after 1 month of getting your LL.

For DL: Visit your RTO office on appointment date with duly signed printed application form and all required docuemnts (Original and attested photocopies). Verify the same from RTO Inspector. Pay Fees in Counter.  Approach Inspector and give driving test. If driving test is successful, you will get DL through post (Usually after 15-20 Days). Till that you can use receipt given by RTO Inspector.

IMP Note: If you are adding new class to your existing driving licence (ex. MCWG to LMV) ), Along with your all documents you need to carry filled Form No. 8 https://vahan.nic.in/nrservices/forms/form8.pdf http://www.chdtransport.gov.in/Forms/Form8.pdf
